Sarah Irish

Sarah's introduction to shooting was around the age of 2-1/2 to 3 with a Chipmunk rifle in her grandpa's woods. She didn't shoot again until the spring of 2005 when she took a pellet gun to the range. She quickly went into a .22 rifle and then by summer wanted to try a handgun. When she tried the bowling pin shoots at a local indoor range, she shot the fastest time of 1.98 seconds at 12 yds with her Ruger 10-22; a record which held for some time at that range. Recently, she set another record at a different indoor bowling pin shoot: 1.18 seconds for 5 pins with her 10-22. A friend at the pin shoots introduced her to USPSA and in the fall of 2005, Sarah tried her first match with a Sig P228. The following spring that same friend introduced her to open guns. She is now a Master class open junior shooter in USPSA (TY54900) and is also classified as "A" in Limited. She occasionally shoots open revolver in ICORE (MI2234), however she is currently unclassified.

Her recent accomplishments include:

  • 2009 Griffin Steel - high rimfire open junior
  • 2009 Area 5 Championship - 2nd open female
  • 2009 3 Days of Revolver - 1st junior open and 1st junior rimfire
